As the designer for the US Elections 2012, I worked closely with our journalists, developers and World Service to deliver my designs in over 20 languages and on all devices.

I pushed hard for what I felt was the right direction: a US Election cross platform ‘home’ combining the index, live and results page. A key part of the process was user testing, I created prototypes for formal and informal testing and ensured the feedback was incorporated into the approach. The site had 16 million hits on the day of the elections, 30% were on mobile.

I also designed an accompanying in depth feature on the key battleground states. Keen to highlight the character of each battleground, we crafted icons for each state.
